Phased Interior Refurbishment

This project involved the careful internal reconfiguration of a townhouse in Barnsbury, developed in close collaboration with the client over a series of phases.

Working to a clear and evolving brief, the design focused on improving the flow and usability of the interior while maintaining the character of the existing house. Each phase was carefully planned to allow the home to be upgraded progressively, ensuring minimal disruption while achieving a cohesive overall result.

A key feature of the project is the handcrafted kitchen, supplied by deVOL, which forms the heart of the home. The design integrates the kitchen seamlessly within the wider interior, creating a warm and functional space for daily use.

Throughout the house, interventions were designed to feel natural and considered, enhancing the existing architecture rather than competing with it. Materials and detailing were selected to create a calm, cohesive interior that reflects the client’s lifestyle.

The result is a thoughtfully updated home that has evolved over time, balancing practicality with a refined and comfortable living environment.
