Conversion of a Former Bank into a Luxury Duplex Apartment

This project involved the transformation of a former bank in Highgate into a luxury apartment arranged across two levels.

The existing building possessed a strong architectural character, with generous proportions and robust original features that provided the foundation for the new interior. The design focused on reimagining the former commercial space as a calm and sophisticated home while retaining a sense of the building’s original identity.

A key part of the project involved the design and commissioning of bespoke joinery throughout the apartment. These elements were carefully integrated within the architecture to provide storage, define spaces and create a cohesive interior language across both floors.

Particular attention was given to the selection of finishes and materials, creating a refined palette that balances warmth, texture and durability. Lighting, detailing and material transitions were all carefully considered to ensure the spaces felt unified and resolved.

The resulting apartment combines the scale and character of the original building with a contemporary residential interior designed for modern living.
